Located in Franklin, Tennessee, the Westhaven Golf Club and Golf Academy at Westhaven are located adjacent to the award winning Westhaven Residential Community and Town Center two miles west of downtown Franklin, TN, in beautiful Williamson County. The golf community is just a short drive from Nashville. The private golf club and the Arthur Hills Golf Course have been recognized as one of the best courses in America by Golf Week Magazine and Golf Digest Magazines, 2010 and 2009 winners in best new private golf clubs and best new golf course categories.
Developed by Southern Land Company, LLC the championship course boasts 5 tee boxes, US Kids Golf Programs and Kids tees has a strong junior golf program. The Academy provides the latest in golf technology, including the TrackMan Radar System, V-1 Video System, Aim Point Putting System, and a complete staff. The Southern Land Company is building a modern new clubhouse with a full social and dining programs and has the most complete family swimming pool facility in the area, including tennis courts, fitness center and more.
The Westhaven Golf Academy is home of renowned golf instructor Virgil Herring and Master Club Fitter Tim Sygerych. Virgil has taught 117 NCAA scholarship recipients and PGA tour professionals. Virgil founded the Higher Performance Golf Academy. Awards include: 2003 Tennessee PGA Teacher of the Year and the 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 Middle TN Chapter PGA Teacher of the Year, and a 2009 U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Instructors. Students include Brandt Snedeker (2000-2007), tour players Harry Taylor, Brad Fabel, Cliff Kresge, Vance Veazey, Garrett Willis, Bob Wolcott & Kim Williams. He now works with 52 Division-1 college players and 22 top junior players. Hear Virgil from 7-8 a.m. every Saturday on 104.5 The Zone. Virgil's golf lessons are Sunday night on sports central on Channel 5.
Memberships include senior golf memberships, junior golf memberships, full golf memberships, Range memberships and corporate golf memberships. Reciprocal agreements with leading private clubs and the Standard Club at the Smith House. You don't have to live in Westhaven to use the academy or join the club.
